We may collect anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the app’s performance, reliability, and feature set.

• App version, settings and OS information

• Feature usage counts (e.g., how often grammar correction is used)

• Errors or crashes (anonymous crash reports)

• UI interaction metrics (e.g., which menu actions are triggered)

These do not include:

• Submitted or selected text

• Prompts, responses, or context

• Any content you create or process in the app

We do not sell or share this data with third parties.

2. Local vs API Mode

Local Mode (available with Ollama):

• All AI processing stays on your device

• We do not see, store or process prompts and responses

API Mode:

• Using your own API key, requests are sent directly to your chosen AI provider (e.g., OpenAI)

• We do not see, store or process prompts and responses

Subscription Mode:

• Prompts and responses are forwarded through our service in a way that prevents us from seeing, storing, or processing your data. It is transmitted as is to and from AI provider. This is used to ensure compliance with the Fair Use Policy and verify your subscription status.

• We do not maintain logs of your data, prompts, or responses. However, we do collect anonymised performance metrics to understand the volume of the traffic our system handles, service performance and stability.

3. Third-Party Services

When using an external AI provider, your interactions are governed by that provider’s privacy policy. Please consult their documentation for details on how your data is handled, stored, and used. Example:

We also rely on third-party platforms (e.g., Paddle, Stripe) to manage purchases and licensing.

4. Purchases and Licensing

Purchases are securely handled by third-party services. These platforms may collect:

• Name and email (for license delivery)

• Payment information

TextWisely does not store your payment details.

5. Cookies & Tracking

The TextWisely macOS app does not use cookies or web tracking tools.

Our website may use analytics and pixels (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel) to understand general usage and for marketing purposes. This does not include personal data.

6. Children’s Privacy

TextWisely is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

7. Your Rights

We do not collect any personal data that could identify you, so there’s no stored data to access, correct, or delete. If you have any concerns about your purchase or analytics, please contact us directly.

• API keys are stored securely using macOS system-provided secure storage

• Analytics data is anonymous and minimal

• We do not store or sell any of the submitted text, prompts or responses
